From December 6 to 8, 2025, Jindřich Šavel, CEO of Novicom, attended this year's flagship technology event on the African continent - the African Startup Conference in Algiers. This event brings together promising African entrepreneurs with their ideas, representatives of investors and governments that are trying to create a startup environment similar to the conditions in the developed markets of Europe and the USA.
The large concentration of representatives of the Algerian government and other representatives of the governments of progressive African countries made it possible to carry out many meetings that followed up on Novicom's previous activities in the region. They confirmed the interest in building cyber defense, including the areas of network management automation integrated with the security oversight environment (SOC).
The trip to Algeria was also used to deepen Novicom's cooperation with local partners and distributors with whom we have already established cooperation. The original Novicom technology of the integrated DDI/NAC solution ADDNET has also aroused interest among other local system integrators, with whom we have agreed to start cooperation.
A big thank you goes to the Chamber of Commerce of the Czech Republic (Mr. Reda Ifrah) and the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Algiers (Mr. Ambassador Jan Czerný, Ms. Jana Seková for the Economic Diplomacy Department), who exclusively supported our company throughout our visit to Algeria and also supported us in negotiations with local government representatives at the level of ministers or directors of startup agencies and funds.
