Novicom at the EU-Vietnam Global Gateway Business and Investment Forum in Vietnam
On Tuesday, March 24, 2026, the first global business and investment forum "EU-VIETNAM GLOBAL GATEWAY BUSINESS AND INVESTMENT FORUM" (GBIF) took place in Vietnam, aiming to facilitate communication and create stronger ties between the European and Vietnamese economies.
The meeting brought together, among others, EU Commissioner Jozef Síkela (DG for International Partnerships), Vice-President of the European Investment Bank Nicola Beer and Vietnamese government officials, along with key business leaders from both regions, to focus on strategic sectors that drive mutual growth between the EU and Vietnam.
Following on previous successful meetings, Jindřich Šavel, CEO of Czech technology company Novicom, also attended the meeting.
The GBIF forum focused primarily on supporting green energy and sustainable transport, and on Vietnam's digital transitions.
Through the Global Gateway Strategy, the EU is committed to supporting Vietnam by mobilising high-quality investments and creating market opportunities to strengthen sustainable infrastructure, promote innovation, and deliver an enabling environment for long-term growth and employment.
