22/10/2021
The 11th annual Cyber Security conference took place in Prague on Tuesday, October 19, 2021. Novicom was a silver partner of the conference and one of the speakers. This year's conference focused on key trends and factors influencing the cyber protection of organizations in connection with the social and economic changes caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Main topics of the conference:
- Growing attack surface: Persistent vulnerabilities associated with remote work (insider threats, VPNs, unsecured home networks), IoT and supply chain attacks
- Critical data is moving to the cloud: How to address the main security risks - configuration errors, phishing and social engineering...?
- Lack of personnel and skills: Do you know where your sensitive data is? Will the transition to a cyber-resilience architecture and support from AI help?
- Old-new threats: Will EDR help against multi-layered attacks (ransomware, "low and slow" attacks), fileless ransomware and malware
- Critical infrastructure attacks: How to respond to attacks that the World Economic Forum considers a major problem?
Novicom contributed to the program with a talk entitled "Building affordable cybersecurity", during which he presented a path leading to functional and affordable cybersecurity, which is based on shared security oversight built on the principle of an active SOC. The audience was explained how Novicom tools for DDI/NAC (ADDNET), Logmanagement/SIEM (ELISA) and asset visibility (BVS) support the concept of Active SOC and what are the practical experiences with their deployment in the public sector and in the private sphere. A new product was also presented for cybersecurity managers who are looking for a tool for managing cybersecurity processes and ensuring the demonstration of legislative compliance of KIS or VIS.
