Novicom was a partner of the Data Security and Availability conference 2018
On October 25, 2018, Novicom, among other events, also participated in the 10th annual Data Security and Availability conference in Bratislava, Slovakia. The main points of the conference were cybersecurity after the adoption of the Cybersecurity Act and the obligations associated with it, as well as an exclusive speaker from Estonia, whose lecture discussed a security flaw in chips in ID cards.

The conference was organized by Exponet s.r.o. at the Austria Trend Hotel in Bratislava. Current trends in security, data protection and management attracted over 120 visitors, half of whom were IT specialists and IT managers.
Tatiana Valentová also accepted the invitation to this year, who spoke on the topic of DPIA resulting from the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Conference participants also learned more about the advantages of integrated network monitoring and management for building cyber protection using Novicom products, as well as the benefits of testing organizations using phishing, and what can be expected from a cloud version of remote management, an innovative solution for endpoint security products or tools for detecting network intrusions.
During his lecture, a Novicom representative explained to the audience the importance of network visibility and integrated network management. "A SOC service without integrated customer network management tools cannot actively and independently solve incident response," stated Vítězslav Šavel, Channel Development Manager from Novicom. "Our AddNet and BVS (Business Visibility Suite) products can provide organizations with activities that are often not managed or underestimated, such as network visibility and IT asset management, comprehensive IP space management, and network access control," added Vítězslav Šavel.
