On Thursday, January 29, 2026, another "VIP IT Club" meeting was held in Prague, Czech Republic, focused on security, cybersecurity and automation systems for companies in the arms, engineering and energy industries.
Novicom was a partner and one of the speakers at this meeting, which was organized by the CEDEG, z.s. organization in cooperation with the National Cluster Association CZ, the Association of the Defense and Security Industry of the Czech Republic and the National Centre for Industry 4.0.
Novicom participated in the program of presentations entitled: "You can't see, You can't protect: How to gain full control over network management, including Network Access Control".
Most organizations are convinced that they know their network. They have network diagrams, IP plans and "some" documentation. But the actual state of the network infrastructure is often completely different – outdated data, unknown devices, confusing IP address spaces and accesses that should not have existed long ago. And this is where most security incidents begin.
Novicom's presentation showed why network visibility and network management are a basic prerequisite for cybersecurity. Jindřich Šavel, CEO of Novicom, explained how it is possible to reveal the actual state of the network and eliminate hidden risks, how to simplify network management and how to manage the IP address space, basic network services, network access and security policies in large networks in a long-term, systematic and minimal effort. In the presentation, he showed how it is possible to have your network under control not only technically but also strategically. In other words, in such a way that it is possible to significantly accelerate the response to cyber threats.
